The Spring Blossom Collection portrays the move into spring where the flowers blossom in different shades of reds and pinks and the air fills with the scents of blooms.
The collection was designed by Tasneem El-Meshad is a contemporary Egyptian visual artist, based in Cairo. Her paintings are inspired by the chaotic world surrounding us. Her work is a depiction of the dilemma of modern life which revolves around juggling responsibility while trying to connect with the inner beauty of the universe . El-Meshad is Known for her unique vibrant color palette, her paintings convey infatuations and elaborations of her own mystic colorful world. El-Meshad has participated in numerous national and international art activities and has won several prizes for her paintings and mural work.
The Spring Blossom Collection was produced in collaboration with two NGOs:
Tawasol for Development is an NGO that build a school in Istabl Antar area, which provides free education to children following a curriculum certified by the Ministry of Education while also providing vocational workshops . These workshops enable children to learn a craft in parallel to their academic education which helps providing weekly incentive to the parents to keep the children in school, who would otherwise be forced to work in sweatshops.
Rommana for Development NGO Workshop trains and employs women in the underprivileged Mokattam area of Cairo, on the crafts of sewing and upholstery, which provides a sustainable income to around a number of women-headed households.
